Rakuten Securities, a Japanese online trading business, will expand its Forex service to include EUR/AUD and GBP/AUD. The new currency pairings will be accessible for trading on Rakuten FX and Rakuten MT4 on Monday, April 4, 2022.
The improvements, according to the broker, are the result of several requests from traders. Rakuten FX now supports 28 currency pairings, bringing the total number of supported currency combinations to 28. The number for Rakuten MT4 is 24.
Individual and business clients will be allowed to trade the pairings. EUR/AUD spreads should be 1.5 pips and GBP/AUD spreads should be 1.6 pips.
The purchase of 1,000 units is the minimum transaction amount. The margin needed is around 5,000 yen for 1,000 EUR/AUD units and approximately 6,000 yen for 1,000 GBP/AUD units.
Corporate clients' margin rates are revised every week. The updated margin rate will also be applied to any open interest you hold at the moment, thus a change in the margin rate may result in a loss reduction.
Clients of the broker may normally trade with the aforementioned spread, but spreads may expand in scenarios such as a drop in trading activity in the foreign currency market or a concentration of trading in one direction. Spreads may grow under specific circumstances, such as early morning on weekdays, holidays, and before and after the release of significant economic figures.
Rakuten's trading instrument portfolio has been steadily growing. In February, for example, it added 200 international equities to its trading portfolio. Stocks from 100 firms listed on US markets and 100 companies listed on the Hong Kong exchange have been added.
Shares of KLX Energy Services Holdings (KLXE), which offers oilfield services to oil and gas exploration and production businesses, and Vigil Neuroscience (VIGL), a biotechnology company located in the United States, are among the new instruments. JLMAG, a manufacturer of rare earth permanent magnets, will also be added to the broker's portfolio.
