Based on my thorough evaluation of CMB’s offering, I can confirm that the broker provides access to stocks, futures, and options trading. This is clearly defined in their product line, and I did not see evidence that forex, indices, commodities, cryptocurrencies, bonds, or ETFs are available through CMB. For me, as someone who often values a diverse instrument range, this limited product scope means CMB would not suit traders seeking exposure to forex markets or alternative asset classes. Instead, their focus seems to be on equity and derivative instruments within a regulated, Hong Kong-based environment. I believe it’s important to understand the reasons behind such constraints. Many brokers choose to specialize due to regulatory requirements, platform infrastructure, and risk management principles. CMB is regulated by the Hong Kong SFC for futures contracts, and their primary platforms support equity and derivatives—not forex or crypto. It’s clear to me that if your trading strategy depends on access to non-equity markets, you should consider this carefully before opening an account. Ultimately, while CMB appears reputable for stocks, futures and options, the absence of forex and other instruments is a notable limitation for multi-asset traders like myself.
