In my experience, Specter.ai operates differently from traditional forex brokers, particularly regarding spreads. The platform primarily focuses on digital binary options and its own proprietary contract types, rather than classic spot forex instruments. That said, when I looked into forex trading conditions at Specter.ai, I found that most assets are offered with spread-free entries—provided the indicative entry price matches the spot price. However, I’ve noticed that during periods of low liquidity or when trading in more exotic or short-term timeframes (such as micro-expiries of 10–30 seconds), Specter.ai may apply a spread. For five-minute expiries, the spread can be around 0.2 pips, and for regular entries, it may range from 0.1 to 0.9 pips depending on market conditions. These spreads are still generally tight for the industry, but should not be taken as fixed for all conditions. Given the lack of conventional regulation and the use of a decentralized, blockchain-based exchange model, I remain cautious and always double-check the spread at the time of each trade, especially on highly liquid pairs like EUR/USD. For me, this means that while spreads for EUR/USD can often be negligible under normal conditions, they are not guaranteed and can vary with liquidity and timing—something I factor into my risk management approach.
