In my experience analyzing brokers like 4e, the transparency and reliability of their spread offerings are critically important, especially during highly volatile market events. According to what I found regarding 4e, they list their spreads as floating, meaning they are variable rather than fixed. In practice, this means the spread can change frequently with market conditions. Normally, brokers with variable spreads will advertise tight spreads during calm market periods, but these spreads can widen—sometimes significantly—during major economic news releases or periods of unexpected volatility. From what I see, 4e’s lack of any regulatory oversight further increases the risk that spread widening during news events could be both unpredictable and severe. This is concerning for me as a trader because, without regulation, there are limited assurances that spread changes will be handled fairly or transparently. In highly regulated environments, there are sometimes guidelines about order execution and price transparency; here, I haven’t found any reliable protections. Therefore, for me, trading with 4e during major news events carries additional risk, as their floating spreads could move sharply without any warning, potentially leading to slippage and higher transaction costs. I always approach such conditions with particular caution, especially with an unregulated platform.
