Based on my direct experience and careful review of VANTAGE’s available information, I did not find specific references to whether their spreads are fixed or variable. In my years of trading, this omission is itself noteworthy—brokers that do not disclose clear details about their spread structure tend to raise red flags for me, especially when the broker is unregulated as is the case with VANTAGE. The lack of transparency on such a fundamental element as spreads means I cannot make an informed judgment about how competitive or fair their costs might be under normal conditions, or how their platform manages spreads during high-impact news events. Whenever I trade with a broker, understanding their approach to spreads is crucial because spreads can widen significantly during periods of high market volatility, impacting execution price and profit. From my experience, regulated brokers typically provide detailed disclosures and have established policies for handling volatile markets. The absence of regulatory oversight and public documentation on VANTAGE’s part means there is an increased risk that spreads could be widened unpredictably, or that other trading conditions could change suddenly during news events, to the possible detriment of traders. Given these concerns, and in line with best practices for financial safety and caution, I personally would refrain from trading significant volumes or taking positions around news releases with any broker lacking transparency and regulation, including VANTAGE. Without reliable information, the risks of slippage and unexpected trading costs feel too high for my standards.
