Based on my close review of YM Securities, I found their deposit and withdrawal process noticeably traditional compared to many global brokers. For depositing funds, client options are centered around bank transfer, specifically through Japanese partner institutions like Yamaguchi Bank, Momiji Bank, and Kitakyushu Bank. In my experience, this banking-limited approach could pose challenges for anyone hoping to use credit cards, popular e-wallets such as PayPal or Skrill, or cryptocurrency transfers—none of these methods are supported. They do offer something called EASY NET, which is an instant fund transfer service linked to their group banks, but this is not the same as an e-wallet; it's strictly within their affiliated Japanese banks. Withdrawals must also be made to a pre-registered bank account, with the request possible by online platform or phone, and you can schedule the precise working day for receipt (from the next day onwards). While these procedures appear secure and well-regulated by Japanese standards, especially when dealing with significant assets, for me as a trader used to flexible global funding options, YM Securities' choices seem quite restrictive. For international or expat clients, the lack of card and digital payment alternatives requires careful consideration, especially regarding convenience and speed. As always, I would advise verifying directly with YM Securities before transferring funds, as banking procedures and access may vary for non-residents.
