Based on my thorough examination of Rakuten Bank, one of the main challenges for me as a forex trader is the lack of clear or detailed information regarding their spread structure—whether they offer fixed or variable spreads. The available data simply does not specify this essential aspect of trading conditions. In my experience, the absence of this fundamental information makes it very difficult to plan or manage trading costs appropriately. Moreover, since Rakuten Bank is not regulated by any recognized authority and has a “suspicious regulatory license” warning, I must approach all aspects of their trading services, including spreads, with an added layer of caution. Unregulated brokers can—and often do—adjust spreads at their own discretion, especially during periods of heightened market volatility such as major news releases. From what I’ve seen in the industry, when a broker is unregulated and lacks transparent fee structures, the likelihood of experiencing sharp and unpredictable increases in spreads during volatile times is much higher. Without a regulated framework or specific disclosures, I am not confident in how Rakuten Bank's spreads behave under market stress. From a risk management perspective, this kind of uncertainty is a major red flag, making it extremely difficult for me to trade with confidence, especially around significant news events when spread widening can be both severe and unexpected. Therefore, until the broker provides clear, transparent details and is subject to strong oversight, I would personally avoid trading through them.
