Reasons for Field Survey

Hong Kong, being an international financial center, is home to one of the most significant forex markets globally. Characterized by high internationalization, active trading, and strict regulation, it holds a pivotal position in global forex trading. To assist investors in gaining a comprehensive and precise understanding of forex brokers in this region, the surveyors conducted field surveys in Hong Kong.

Field Survey Process

As planned, this time's field inspection team visited Haitong Futures in Hong Kong. Publicly available information indicates its office address is Rooms 01-03, 12/F, COFCO Building, 262 Gloucester Road, Hong Kong.

Based on this address, the professional field inspection team, committed to fulfilling their responsibility to investors, conducted an on-site inspection of Haitong Futures.

The inspection team traveled to the Gloucester Road area in Hong Kong and arrived at the COFCO Building (near Sino Plaza). The building's corporate campus and streetscape are average, with a strong commercial atmosphere and convenient transportation. From the building's exterior, the inspection team was able to capture a clear panoramic view, but no Haitong Futures signage was visible.

The inspection team successfully entered the building's lobby, which appeared typical of a commercial building. When attempting to take the elevator to the 12th floor, they discovered that it required a card swipe and could not reach the elevator directly. Upon checking the lobby sign, we only found information for Room 1204. We found no signs for Rooms 1201-1203, nor was there any mention of the company name, HAITONG FUTURES.

After inquiring with the lobby receptionist, we learned that the company previously had offices there but had since moved and no longer existed. Our inspection team requested further confirmation on the 12th floor, but the receptionist refused. Therefore, we were unable to enter the floor and naturally, we were unable to take any photos of the reception desk or its logo. We confirmed that the location was not a shared office, further confirming that HAITONG FUTURES no longer operates there.

Thus, our inspection confirmed that the brokerage, HAITONG FUTURES, no longer has a physical business location.

Field Survey Summary

The surveyors visited the Forex broker HAITONG FUTURES as planned. They could not find the broker's company name and other information at its publicly displayed business place, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to consider this information comprehensively before making decisions.
