As someone who has spent years trading and carefully evaluating brokerages, I am very cautious when considering an option like Angel One. The single most concerning factor for me is the absence of regulatory oversight—Angel One is not regulated by SEBI or any major global authority. In my experience, this lack of regulation is a significant red flag. It means there’s no official mechanism in place to protect client funds or resolve disputes, which fundamentally compromises my sense of security. While I do recognize that Angel One provides a wide variety of investment products, including stocks, derivatives, mutual funds, and commodities, these offerings alone do not outweigh the risks tied to operating without proper regulatory supervision. I also took note of their user-friendly, self-developed trading platforms, which seem appealing and accessible, and their fee structures are reasonably competitive for an Indian domestic broker. However, the technological strengths and cost advantages cannot substitute for the assurance provided by strong regulatory backing. Ultimately, for me, trust and safety are paramount when choosing a broker, and I would not feel comfortable entrusting significant capital to a firm without robust independent oversight. Until Angel One obtains licensure from a reputable financial regulator, I would personally avoid using it for serious trading, regardless of any short-term benefits. My conservative approach is always to prioritize financial security over convenience or cost savings.
