Over my years trading with a variety of brokers, I have found that transparent access to demo accounts—usually without excessive restrictions—is an important indicator of a broker’s commitment to trader education and client trust. However, in this case, Linear’s online presence did not prominently feature details on demo account offerings, including whether there is a time limit or account restrictions. My experience has taught me to be cautious if demo accounts are either not listed or if information about them is not easily accessible. This lack of clarity may complicate a new trader’s ability to thoroughly assess trading conditions before risking real capital. While Linear operates under UK FCA regulation and has an STP license, I noticed some caution signs, such as issues concerning their office presence and a previously published FCA decision notice. These risk factors further reinforce my conservative view. I personally would reach out directly to the broker’s customer service for explicit details about demo account availability and terms before considering any engagement, and I would not move forward until I received transparent, written confirmation.
