Interactive Brokers Launches IBKR Desktop 1.0 Update
Abstract:Interactive Brokers releases IBKR Desktop Version 1.0, offering a seamless desktop trading experience packed with enhanced features for both retail and professional traders.

Interactive Brokers Group Inc. (NASDAQ: IBKR) has launched IBKR Desktop Version 1.0, offering a comprehensive desktop trading platform after two years of beta testing. The new application is aimed at both individual investors and professionals, providing a seamless trading environment with an intuitive interface. It integrates key functions—such as market research, trading, and portfolio management—under one roof, intended to be both easy to use for beginners and sufficiently robust for advanced users.
Key features of the platform include tools for portfolio monitoring, customizable watchlists, advanced charting, options chains, Level 2 market depth, and detailed time & sales data. The platform also streamlines navigation with a Global Search feature, enabling quicker access to securities and platform tools. Traders can further explore markets with the Investment Themes discovery feature, and improved multilingual support broadens accessibility for the global client base.

IBKR Desktop is now available for white-label use, making it accessible to introducing brokers and other financial institutions. This version delivers the same essential capabilities as Interactive Brokers flagship Trader Workstation (TWS), covering every stage of the trading process—from idea generation and research to execution and post-trade analysis.
This new platform joins Interactive Brokers larger suite, which also includes IBKR Mobile for on-the-go access, the web-based Client Portal, and IBKR ForecastTrader for trading on forecasts in economics, government decisions, finance, and climate. All platforms operate on the same infrastructure, allowing clients flexibility in how and where they trade.
