This means that simply holding an account open with DEGIRO, even if there are periods when I am not actively trading, does not result in additional costs. It’s worth keeping in mind that DEGIRO has built its brand around low-cost investing, and their current structure supports that claim: there is no charge for inactivity, no deposit or withdrawal fees, and no custody fees. However, I always recommend carefully reviewing fee schedules periodically, as brokers can update their terms. For me, not having to worry about inactivity fees offers a certain peace of mind, but it’s wise to remain vigilant and double-check the latest conditions before making long-term decisions, especially since DEGIRO has been flagged for lacking valid regulatory licenses. This makes monitoring any changes to fees or terms even more critical for protecting my capital.
