In my experience with TD, I have found that their platform is structured primarily as a traditional banking service with some online investing and trading features rather than as a specialized forex or crypto broker. From what I've seen, TD focuses on standard financial products like chequing and savings accounts, credit cards, and various personal investing options through its app. However, TD is currently unregulated for online trading activities and its offering lacks transparency regarding fee structure and supported asset types. Critically, there is no clear indication that TD accepts deposits via cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or USDT into its accounts. For me, this absence of regulatory oversight is a major concern, especially since crypto transactions—due to their irreversible and volatile nature—require strict protections that established, regulated brokers are more likely to provide. The lack of crypto deposit support also suggests that TD is not set up to handle the technical or compliance complexities involved in digital asset payments. For anyone prioritizing the flexibility of funding via crypto, and especially those with a low risk tolerance, I would advise exercising caution and considering only regulated platforms that openly support digital asset deposits. Based on my understanding, using Bitcoin or USDT to deposit into a TD account is not possible at this time.
