As someone who’s navigated futures markets and has experience comparing different brokers, I have to stress that Sierra Futures doesn’t actually offer spot forex trading or traditional forex pairs like EUR/USD in the same way most retail forex brokers do. Instead, Sierra Futures primarily provides access to currency futures contracts—such as the Euro FX (6E) or E-Micro Euro (M6E)—rather than the EUR/USD spot pair. This distinction is important because, in futures trading, what many people refer to as the “spread” in forex is often less relevant; instead, commissions per contract and the bid-ask spread visible in the futures order book are what matter. For example, with Sierra Futures, the commission for trading Euro FX (6E) is quoted at $0.55 per side, while for E-Micro Euro (M6E) it’s $0.275 per side. The actual bid-ask spread can fluctuate based on market conditions and liquidity at the relevant exchange, so it’s not fixed or directly comparable to what one might expect from a traditional retail forex broker. Because Sierra Futures is unregulated and operates without oversight, I’m especially careful about transparency and costs, ensuring I fully understand how commissions and exchange spreads impact my bottom line before trading. If your goal is to access typical, tight fixed spreads on major forex pairs like EUR/USD, Sierra Futures may not be the appropriate venue. I always recommend thoroughly evaluating both the product structure and associated risks before committing funds.
