XTB Receives Approval to Offer CFDs in Indonesia
Abstract:XTB has received approval to offer CFDs in Indonesia, adding leveraged trading products to a local operation that previously focused on stocks and ETFs.

XTB has received regulatory approval to offer contracts for difference in Indonesia, extending the range of products available through its local business.
The broker entered the market through a controlling stake in a locally regulated company and had previously focused on stocks and exchange-traded funds. The new approval adds CFDs, including forex-related products, to that structure.
Indonesia Business Adds a Higher-Activity Product
XTBs early expansion in Indonesia produced account growth, but management had previously acknowledged that deposits and trading activity remained relatively limited.
CFDs may change that balance because leveraged products typically generate more frequent trading activity than long-term investment products.
The Indonesian operation will now combine investment products with CFDs rather than relying on stocks and ETFs alone.
WikiFX users can review XTBs regulatory entities and licence information to distinguish the Indonesian business from other companies operating under the same group.
CFDs Still Generate Most of XTB‘s Trading Income
Despite the expansion of its investment products, CFDs remain the main source of XTB’s trading revenue.
In the first half of 2026, CFDs generated around PLN 1.98 billion, accounting for about 96% of the companys gross result from financial instruments.
This creates a clear difference between client acquisition and revenue generation. New customers are increasingly entering through investment products, while leveraged trading continues to provide most of the financial contribution.
The Indonesian CFD approval therefore adds another market to the part of XTBs business that remains most closely tied to trading activity.
No Immediate Plan for Further Market Entries
XTB has indicated that it is not currently seeking another round of geographic licences.
Its focus is instead on markets where regulatory approvals and local operations are already in place. In Indonesia, the next issue will be whether the addition of CFDs can lift trading activity beyond the levels seen during the initial rollout.
